Are you interested in being a Project Peace Board Member?

We are looking for outstanding community members to join the Project Peace board of directors. If you are committed to building and serving your community, ready to commit to a leadership position, and want to invest your time, talent and expertise to grow and help Project Peace thrive, we encourage you to apply. 

We are a working board, helping to steer the course of Project Peace's growth to create sustainable communities in Berkeley, Oakland, and surrounding areas.

Who is Project Peace looking for in Board Members?

We encourage all those interested to apply, however candidates reflecting the following attributes would help add to our board diversity: 

  • those involved with social service agencies serving Oakland and Berkeley 
  • those involved in local churches seeking to serve our city and community 
  • those with expertise in one of the following areas: marketing/communications, fundraising

Board members are expected to:

  • Commit to a two-year term
  • Commit approximately 2-3 hours per month to Project Peace business
  • Attend 4 in-person board meetings/year
  • Actively participate in decision-making on conference calls, through e-mail, and during in-person discussions
  • Contribute financially to Project Peace at a personally significant level
  • Be a positive ambassador for Project Peace in the community
