Faith Gong, Executive Director

Faith previously served as Executive Director and Program Director of EarthTeam Environmental Network, which delivers environmental education programs to middle- and high-school students. Prior to relocating to the Bay Area, she lived in New York City, where she taught at The Nightingale-Bamford School and served as the Hope for New York volunteer coordinator at St. Paul's House, a men's rescue mission. Faith and her husband have been involved in international development initiatives in Tanzania for Azar, Habitat for Humanity, and The Carpenter's Kids.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Williams College in 1997, a Master's of Arts in Elementary Education from Manhanttanville College, and a Master's of Arts in Studio Art from New York University.
José Figueroa, Director of Community Development

José has 10 years of experience providing spiritual care and social services to youth and their families from multiethnic/multilingual backgrounds in local parish and non-profit settings, most recently as Spiritual Care Coordinator at George Mark Children's House.
José is an ordained Presbyterian minister. Before entering the pastorate José worked as an electrical engineer for the United Status Navy in Washington, DC. He received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1988, and a Master's of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO in 2002. He and his family relocated to the East Bay from Miami, FL where he served as an associate pastor and a chaplain at the University of Miami.
Justin Ashforth, Director of Development

Justin is a graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He played the title roles in Macbeth and Henry V, and was the founder and artistic director of the Living Shakespeare Company in NYC. His film work includes In the Bedroom, Payback, and The Greatest Game Ever Played. In addition, Justin is a fully licensed financial advisor who managed high net worth clients at UBS in the flagship Beverly Hills office. Justin was raised in the Napa Valley and currently lives in Berkeley.
